Super Chili Red Arowana

The Super Chili Red Arowana (Scleropages formosus) is a popular ornamental fish known for its vibrant red color, long body, and large metallic scales. The Indonesian variety originates from the freshwater rivers and swamps of Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia. They need meticulous care, which includes maintaining the right water conditions in a sufficiently large tank to mimic their natural environment. This helps them achieve the best color. The Super Chili Red Arowana is a carnivorous fish that feeds on insects, small fish, and special pellets that contain carotenoids to enhance its red color. Its notable size, which can reach up to 90 centimeters (35 inches), means that it requires a well-equipped aquarium with efficient filtration to keep the water clean.
